Getting Here is Easy Waiheke Island is located in the inner Hauraki Gulf, just a few nautical miles from Downtown Auckland City. We are served by two ferry companies: Fullers Ferries: (telephone 09 367 9111) run hourly ferries from their terminal on Quay Street, next to the Downtown Ferry Building. A 35 minute ferry ride through Auckland Harbour and the inner Hauraki Gulf takes you to Matiatia Wharf on Waiheke Island where taxis, shuttles and the Island Hopper bus are available to transport you to the vineyard, a 15 minute drive. On weekends especially it is advisable to pre-book taxis to meet you at the ferry - phone 0800-372-200 or 0800-372-411. A cheaper alternative once on Waiheke is to use the Island Hopper bus, a hop-on, hop-off bus service visiting vineyards, restaurants and other sites. Island Hopper buses for Te Whau are the Mid-Island Loop and meets ferry arrivals between 10am and 1pm. Tell your driver you wish to go to Te Whau Vineyard and they will bring you to our door. Easy. A 45-minute journey takes you to Kennedy Point Wharf in Putiki Bay just opposite the vineyard, a 10 minute drive away.
